Ross was sued for defamation, libel, and a whole bunch of other things. I just heard from a reliable source that the kid is shitting his pants because he can't have KVN defend him since his dad is a partner there and there are already a boatload of conflicts of interest because KVN itself was sued, as well as their clients and Chanin's employer, Reputation Defender.

Do tell!
Maybe Autoadmit can set up its own reputation defense service, headed by "Reputation Defense Officer" Five Alive!

easy.
1) send dmca takedown notices for any material you have a copyright in (or just send fraudulent ones if you're willing to risk the chance that the person who uploaded the material will challenge it and face possible sanctions)
2) if no valid (c) claim, send host email/letter alleging TOS violations. more often than not they'll remove offending content
3) bury offending material by creating tons of new sites with positive stuff
4) in some cases contacting the person who put the material there can work, but you need to b careful because it can backfire. make sure the person is sympathetic to your plight before contacting
5) in spome situations this will work: create websites for a fake person with your name and similar identifying information, but sufficiently differrent so that you wouldn't be confused with that person. employers will not be sure that the negative stuff on the web is about you or another person with your name.

they start with #4 w/o considering the possible backlash and in many cases it does backfire. also, i doubt they send dmca takedown notices becasuse if falsely sent they could get in trouble.
the point is that all this should not cost $10,000
ive helped friends clear their name on teh interwebs before and it took 30 mins and cost $0

For free?
But, surely, you'd accept a bottle of wine as a token of gratitude?
