Web site is a bit muddled, but essentially it's a modular, compact, quickly deployable and possibly mobile ground station system for satellites. It's an execution play. Don't see any new tech. Phased array antennas, packaging, software. It's a good idea, but surprised it's not already out there, esp. in military realm - maybe it is, pretty much out of the loop these days. Seems like something SpaceX would have done already, but perhaps they found a niche.
BTW, seems totally feasible to do a Phd at Media Lab and J.D. at the same time. I started and sold a company while at HLS. Lawl school is not that hard and Media Lab is "soft" compared to hard science/engineering Phd. Doable combo.
I'm jelly I never got a picture holding a giant check. Have given far more than $25K many times and don't even have a wiki page. |
