Then someone else survives an earthquake, a 100-foot fall, a horrific car crash, or multiple gunshots.
Or people jump off bridges that should've killed them instantly... and somehow live.
So what the fuck actually decides when you die?

Christianity is a thing because of death. Because it promised eternal life in a world in which common people lived difficult lives in which they could die at any time. Unlike today, people really believed in it, and really believed that they could obtain eternal life via Christianity
Similar death-transcendence myths informed different peoples and cultures. Valhalla, Confucian ancestor worship, etc. It was a big deal, maybe the biggest deal for human culture. All gone today, stomped out by (((reason))) and materialism |
