Definitely not IMO. Discuss. I'd even have him below Villeneueve, who has his own flaws

I loved memento as a kid although its really gimmicky in hindsight and I loved inception, I saw it in college with a azn girl. The batman movies were gay and he has yet to make a film that conveys any human emotion

all his movies are gimmicky. i actually enjoyed interstellar but all the space-sorcery and magic was ridiculous and having people claim the "science" checked out and made it insufferable. i agree the batman movies were gay. the prestige was kind of enjoyable because of the acting but at the end just more magic and sorcery. all of his movies have stupid deus ex machina shit.

interstellar suffered from an hour in the middle of sentimental bull shit.

One of the few films isat through even though I rolled my eyes and checked my phone every 2 minutes

Someone here pointed out the other day that ever since he became a big deal, his movies have really suffered from bloat and shitty writing because nobody is able to tell him "this needs another 20 drafts"

No, katie holmes (8.5/10) was the prosecutrix love interest in Batman Begins, and nolan tried to ludicrously replace her with maggie gyllenhaal (5.5/10) in The Dark Knight and say nothing as if no one would notice.

This should have been an early indicator that nolan views female characters as totally modular / "I have been told the Academy wants at least 2 women; here is my completed script with zero women; jon please go through and insert 2 girl characters."

3rd movie (by far the absolute dogshittiest) ended with Batman saving Gotham by getting the nuclear bomb a few hundred yards away from the city so it detonated over the water. This was a 4 MEGATON device (= ~250+ Hiroshima bombs) ... It would have instantly vaporized everything within a couple miles and killed everyone in the city.

That's aside from the absolutely atrocious Occupy Wall Street references throughout. And the fact that Bane's BIG REVEAL was a crumpled piece of paper showing two face was bad.

The guy sucks ass and has nothing to say. He hides his mediocrity behind endless time cuts back and forth and extremely loud blaring music to confuse the audience, and shitty monochrome dark cinematography

Guy sucks and so does anyone who likes him

This is also why Jews like him and promote him and why he’s successful - because he has nothing to say

The sound in Odyssey IMAX was too loud for me it was sensory overload and made me physiologically uncomfortable that's probably because I have autism though

He's a super nice dude from what I hear and is actually the reason a family member got a start in the business, and one of my neighbors worked with him too (but he's a liberal) but he hasn't made a good film in like 25 years? And his latest was one of the worst I have ever seen in my life.

I watched The Lost Boys the other day and realized it is far better than anything Nolan has ever done. and schumacher is far from a top 20 talent.
