Contemplating buying one and being a bathrobe person in my old age. Have never owned one before.

Only really make sense if youre house is a non ensuite TTT where you cant logistically get from toweling yourself off & into your bedroom without running into the kids or something

Why would you bother to dry off with a towel to then wear a towel coat to walk around in for 3mins to put on your clothes

Do people sleep in them? Like pyjamas maybe and then walk into the bathroom in the morning with it. Dont get whats going on at all

You put the robe on to LOUNGE, not to dry off from the shower. Dry off with a towel then transition to ROBE LIFE.

I don't feel like I ever get sufficiently dry with a towel. There's always some wet spot if I got from towel to PJs. Plus a robe is more comfy than a towel for other bathroom tasks.

Here's my routine:

Shower

Towel off

Get in robe

Brush teeth, shave, minxodil, face lotion, etc.

Get into PJs.

I do this in hotels only and don't do it at home because I don't want to ruin the magic of lounging in a robe in the hotel.

I have a merino wool robe from Pendleton and a pair of Grizzly Moc slippers from Quoddy. I wear them all the time in the cooler months and they are one of the single best quality of life improvements on a dollar adjusted basis that you could ever make. Up there with my espresso machine.

I am not a morning person and anticipating my cozy clothes and a delicious coffee is what gets me out of bed on weekend mornings.
