Are there any xo posters who understand why we have only two parties?

Because they commit literal election fraud to keep third-party and independent candidates off the ballots; when that fails, they smear and sabotage them.
The uniparty relies on "lesser evil" thinking to stay in power. They need that. They're both owned by the same corporations, billionaires, and Israel. They play good-cop-bad-cop (forcing culture wars to divide people on which is which) but ultimately neither does anything to improve the lives of everyday people. That's why it's a pendulum. One party gets in power and does such a bad job that the people in the middle swing to the other after two terms (two terms because people don't like change, not because they're actually satisfied with the government). Ad infinitum.

of course.
my point is that the it's not true the founders "didn't do the math", it's they never conceived that this level of hyperpartisanship is something that needed to be mitigated. and also that they never intended to create neverchanging system. an amendment process was written into the constitution because they understood that changes are inevitable, so they weren't concerned with mitigating issues that would arise hundreds of years later. they never even anticipated the federal government would become as powertul as it is.
it's hard enough to create a brand new system that works in their. and they failed the first time with the articles of confederation.

We have a far, far more decisive and dynamic system than, say, France, for example. Other countries have far worse partisan gridlock than we do where absolutely nothing can get done without maximal consensus.
Conversely a country like England where technically parliament can override any other branch of government and change any historical law at any time, the rapid change only moves to the left, has never once course corrected, and they now live in a disturbing police state where people are locked up for thought crimes.
Between French quagmire and British suicidal tendencies I still think we have the best system. I'm not sure what more you could ask for.
