He’s the only President of my lifetime who did a damn thing about the border and illegal immigration. It was supposed to be an unsolvable issue remember? Oh, the poor and oppressed migrants, they’ll come no matter what, no use fighting it. And Trump (probably Stephen Miller but whatever) solved it in 10 minutes. Illegal migration went from millions a year to essentially zero in like a day.
Other than that yeah, this term has been pretty much pure shit.

My take:
Admin started off very strong. Border, DOGE, government waste and fraud. And that was all he really needed to do. If he'd just kept his focus on both and issuing more revelations of Democratic corruption and censorship, he'd be sitting pretty today. And have to give him complete credit for closing the borders and making a mockery out of Biden and the Democrats' claim nothing could be done.
But everything started going downhill with the tariffs, even if I understood the moral argument behind them. Greenland hysteria was stupid shit that cost him so much political capital abroad and even queasy qualms among his own supporters. His failed prosecution of the people who tried to prosecute him was bungled badly as I knew would happen, you can't take down a court system stacked against you with partisans, just declare victory with your election and leave them behind in the dirt. At some point in 2025 he seemed to lose all interest in domestic affairs and spending more time on international issues, which is when a premiership typically starts failing.
Is it too late? No, it is not. He's not in a good spot, made complex by Iran, even if I am sympathetic to the need to do something about Iran. But can he turn things around? Yes, he can. If he learns. And some luck. And it's within the realm of possibility.

"If he learns."
The entire lesson of the first term was to surround himself with, and fully and unabashedly align himself with, political outsiders. That was literally the point
Instead, this fucking idiot is taking orders from Linda fucking Graham and Mark Levin and other neocon filth
