Disproportionately, those professionals are Asian American, and in particular Indian American, many re-creating Silicon Valley life in the green fields and wide open spaces of the East Bay. The result is that this cluster of East Bay cities — San Ramon, Dublin, Danville, Pleasanton and Livermore — has become one of the most significant hubs of Indian American life in California much faster than earlier-forming meccas like Fremont or the west side of the Santa Clara Valley. Two decades ago, these cities were disproportionately white and Hispanic. ”
