On the one hand you have a child that is growing up in a family-centric household, maybe gathered around the radio on Saturday night listening to the Carter Family and on Sunday they'd sing out of the hymnal together and go to lunch. Of course, they'd think about Jimmy Brown and be grateful for all that they have--a bed to sleep in, clothes to wear, a full belly. Today's kids are all focused on the latest technology that takes them away from family, that sets them down a strange path of addiction to video games, pornography, and weird perverse animes and worse. (My son even thinks Korea is cool. Anyways. It has gone wrong.) All they want is more. A new computer. A new phone. The right systems to chat their friends and stay up all night doing God knows what.
