just on my cul de sac in the last year:

-house next door: GenX whites moved to Portugal when they reached empty nest status. sold to an Indian. Indian wife and kid refused to move, so Indian husband lived in a 7,000 sq ft house alone. Indian husband was laid off within 6 months but refused to sell/couldn't sell. Has now rented it to what I assume he thought was an older black couple. Four generations of the black family are now there at all times, 6 or more cars, pot, rap music. They have added a permanent below-ground hot tub and are renting out the basement on AirBnB, all without the knowledge of the clueless Indians, who are now getting assraped by the HOA.

house next door to them: Marine vet that got babytrapped by a significantly younger but admittedly wildly attractive ren faire girl covered in tattoos. To literally no one's surprise she eventually mouthed off one too many times and he beat the shit out of her (and she him). she got a restraining order, we were all warned to watch out for him, keep him away from their two (feral) kids, potentially load guns, etc. eight months later, she has found a new boyfriend and he's moved in. twist: he looks nearly identical to the Marine vet, has a very similar first name, and has a kid with the same name as one of their kids. they are fans of the same non-local NFL team and drive the same car. double twist: Marine vet is still in the picture and everyone is happy and friendly. he still owns the house and rents it to them. on weekends the three of them hang out together.

this is just two houses in the neighborhood. it gets better
