Date: August 3rd, 2026 6:06 AM Author: big black ((zurich is stained)) i agree with this 100%. odysseus comes off like a bit of a bitch (and like a modern-day lib, what with the hand-wringing about civilians being killed in Troy), but whatever. the woke casting was not that big a deal. as others pointed out, ellen page and the jet black congo lady were barely on screen. (and there was a chinaman and a hello saar in odysseus's crew, but again whatever). i was honestly shocked given how crazy people were going about the cast that woke nonsense wasn't overtly shoved down my mouth the whole time.
the movie was almost 3 hours but i felt like it flew by. i'll probably watch it again when it's released for streaming. i give it a 7.5/10. |

overall, i went into the movie with very low expectations given all the controversy around it. maybe that's why i liked it so much and may be overrating it.
saw it in IMAX at the air and space museum. that was 180000000000. i have no idea what people are seeing who see it on a regular screen. probably like 25% of the full version. |

saw it at one of those "full service" places where they bring you drinks and food in your lazy boy. didn't get up the whole time, even though I downed 3 pints. sound system was excellent. small screen though. |

when i was a biglaw associate, i used to leave the office and see movies there. this is back when the woke faggy star wars movies were coming out and they all played at air and space.
