start chickenshit wars with non-threatening civs / city states in early and midgame, pillage improvements for gold (with the pillage yield bonus card). create massive gold stockpile, tap only if necessary.
focus on science. once knights start getting cheap spam them out, produce as many as possible before you reach the tank technology and knights are no longer available to produce. but get to tanks before anyone else.
once you reach that technology use your gold stockpile to upgrade all ur knights to tanks. start killing everyone, continue to pillage for gold and upgrade ur tanks to modern armor once you get there. win. |

Date: March 31st, 2026 3:27 PM Author: Up-to-no-good mind-boggling temple halford I prefer horsemen/cavalry/helicopters to heavy chariots/knights/tanks. The issue with tanks is that it’s hard to find oil on land before you can drill for oil offshore, so it’s easy to get stuck with a bunch of knights that can’t upgrade until you’re practically in the atomic era.
Cavalry also can do much more pillaging. If i invade a neighbor with 3-4 cavalry and hit up their science and entertainment districts with the 2x pillaging yield bonus, then I can advance through 300 years of human history over 5-10 turns of the game. |
