The adversity score will be 1060 - X, where X is the student's SAT score. Someone who scores an 860 therefore would have a 200 point adversity score, whereas someone who scores a 1260 should have a -200 adversity score. The adversity score is of course separate from the actual SAT score - colleges will have the option of receiving a combined SAT and adversity score, or can view them separately. Test-takers, however, will only receive the combined score.
