The guys that I grew up with have been hammered by modernity.

Date: September 24th, 2026 1:39 PM Author: According to an Asian Grew up in a small Southern town. Great place and I have many fond memories of my childhood. But it has hit me lately that life has been very unkind to my contemporaries.
Specifically, my fellow white males have a HUGE mortality rate. In my high school class, there were roughly 50 white males. By mid 40s, about 3.5% of white males have died on average. But this group has a mortality rate approaching 20 fucking percent:
2 died of drug overdose
2 died under mysterious circumstances, presumably drug related
1 had cancer
1 supposedly died in a shootout with the police
I am guessing there are at minimum three deaths that I don't know about, especially among the prole dudes. That being said, several of these guys were from educated, professional families.
WTF is going on? These are Indian reservation-level numbers. How can one town be hit so hard? |

The high mortality rates seem to be black guys and prole white women. The white guys and black girls seem to be mostly alive. Though to be fair not sure about the Hispanics cause they kept to themselves. |
