Always interested in politics and policy, like most lawyers, but didn’t really care about practicing. Tuition was cheap enough with family help and a scholarship I had little debt.
Graduated in 4 years and got one of those PMF federal government jobs. Worked in policy then transitioned to a legal role at an agency and then on the Hill. Eventually left for a trade association and now lead lobbying for a member of that association.
400k-ish comp depending on bonus each year. |

same thing with regulatory agencies, usually meetings and comment letters
At the state level there's a lot of managing contract lobbyists in the 50 states and engaging state legislators or regulators
This idea that we just give them money, personal money, to do things is crazy |

We have metrics we can track on our brand recognition which is in part thanks to GR work
