Utah Jazz originally from New Orleans, home of jazz music.
LA Dodgers originally from Brooklyn named the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers.
Any other examples of pro sports teams moving locations but retaining the previous local reference?
I think MN North Stars -> Dallas Stars is the best one, they dropped the regional reference, kept half the name, and Stars works since Texas is the Lone Star State.
