North of Kona there's a lot of rich tech billionaires and shit like Michael Dell. The whole west side of the island north of Kona by where the Four Seasons is is really nice and there's obviously a compound for richmos. There's only like 2 public beaches up that way and it's kinda hard to get to. All the kkkriminals live in HILO imo.

Kona proper is just like a Wal-Mart and a Lowes where the richmos get their building supplies for their big ass houses.

It's the most CR place in the world but it's either very expensive or very remote, or both. Or you go native and be a megaprole.

It only makes sense if you have really good access to air travel and can go back to the mainland like it's nothing, no sweat financially or mentally/physically. There are a couple direct flights to Maui from SV imo. I can't remember exactly. I think there are some that only have business class or better so no proles. You will have to return to the mainland frequently or your life will be hell.

I wouldn't want to live there without sufficient means. Kids are another challenge, I think the schools are horrendous. But I might retire out there in a couple years.

yeah you need to be rich rich to make it work. EPAH's got a good setup. But yeah your kids are going to want to live normal lives in America most of the time. It really is a vacation/tourist/retirement area. The schools really are a problem. This is why so many people live in Honolulu because you get a slice of West Coast Normalcy if that's even your thing (which it shouldn't be lol)

My kids are going to start leaving the house over the next couple years. It would suck to make it harder to see them as well as other family but I might make that trade. Dunno. We do have several friends on the islands so they would help. I won't have epah money but we should have plenty to live right out there.

I would definitely enjoy spending part of the year there but not year round. I would get bored. But I think 6 months would be really great. You should cop a second or third home and just split time. Don't go mega prole.

Not a bad idea. Maybe even 2 or 3 months would be enough. I fucking love that tropical environment, makes me happy just to be alive.

100% Agree. Even better than SoCal weather. Just don't do this if you live on the East Coast you'll never see anybody again. Too far. Ez though if you're west coast. Cointoss if you're central.
