Hallowed tells a story and take the listener on a journey through the last minutes of the life of a man sentenced to death. It’s a perfect song vocally, lyrically, musically.
Fear of the dark doesn’t really have a lot of that. It’s long, basically the same chord structure and dark but doesn’t really tell a story. What’s the song actually about? |

The entire crowd soccer chants along with the guitar lead at the end of the song where Bruce screams "Fear of the Dark" over and over, definitely the most crowd participation of their songs IMO. I've seen them 5 times.
Also - The main guitar riff hits hard as fuck. I love the main riff in HBTN but FOTD might be slightly better by a tad. |
