She might be one of the first 100 people in the world without metastatic cancer that has taken this. This is the RASolute 304 trial for people who have had surgery with no proof of recurrence. It was great this morning when we found out she got the daraxonrasib arm (it was 50/50) but her blood markers had the biggest rise she’s had since getting cancer over a year ago (she just finished chemo which only slowed the rise) this is the pill that was FDA approved for metastatic patients last week.

Would be nice if the drug companies produce a useful and nonharmful treatment for once. Sometimes they do it, probably by accident.

Thoughts n prayers brother.

it's sad. he's young (63) but old enough that he got to see all his kids get married and meet 5 grandchildren so it could be worse

Glad to hear she got the opportunity if it’s a promising treatment option for her. Assuming it’s through city of hope or ucla…we’re lucky to have good options in California

In metastatic pancreatic cancer it over doubled survival over chemotherapy with less side effects. This trial is for people post surgery without active cancer (I think my moms is borderline active and she wouldn’t qualify if it was a month or two later so this is the perfect time).

We’re at cedars for everything and have been at the start. Great hospital.

I think this pill may also end up being first line for colon cancer as well. My mom’s oncologist is one of the researchers on a daraxonrasib + zoldonrasib colon cancer trial (this is being tested in pancreatic as well) I’ll ask him how effective it is.

TY brother I just can’t imagine the chances in this world to get her to be one of the first 100 or so people on this drug in a non metastatic setting when I am confident daraxonrasib is one of the huge breakthroughs that will eradicate cancer long term
