boomers learned cars on their own. or their dads definitely did. the old equivalent to Nerds are to some extent these guys who know exactly what and where a water pump is who kept society running with like no plane crashes for 30 years who weren't obsessed with Computers but instead became obsessed with air traffic control or whatever. idk I spend too much time on the internet or irl but it's an odd juxtaposition between Nerds Engineering things at random and for free and updating github versus like idk irl I just see idiots on route 280 causing Fatalities on their way to drive Nowhere. |
