Its fine

Not everybody can be a CEO or entertainment critic or what have you. We should just thank the grace of god that we're employed at all tbh

There’s been no recession for like 15 years. People take things for granted like 90s boomers which is why we “need” false flag attacks, offshoring, and Recessions at random times

K but like locally and I can't speak to new york or what have you as I haven't traveled in over a year

The economy seems fine. Businesses are doing better than ever (to the point where I can't even get a seat without talking to someone at one of my favorite restaurants) and consumer confidence seems quite high from the usual metrics I use to gauge such things anecdotally

I pay pretty good attention to season trends and this is why the new york guys like my commentary generally as it's a symbiotic relationship

I was just saying OP takes employment for granted. In 2010, Gen Xers would work for Pennies to avoid a Resume Gap. Console prices were cut aggressively

The fact that Kurt Cobain could kill himself in spite of the platform size involved in his work speaks to the dark and unholy strength of the black alliance between courtney love and Capitol Records

the average ceo makes an upper middle class income for the right to "go to work" every day and be on call 24/7 only to be fired in 5 years while his haggard wife bitches about upgrading the kitchen cabinets the whole time. TT lives better than 99% of ceos.

tech founders hire indians to be ceos after they cash out because they know indians will be docile and agreeable cucks who won't do anything dramatic to upset shareholders

This is partially correct. Tech founder, the true founder, is one of the few areas you can do almost whatever you want, even after the collapse of the CARBON NEGATIVE [insert anything you want here] business idea

The boards are incredibly hands off and permissive, even if the face of undeniable mismanagement, incompetence, and trajectory towards failure. Their business models are built on a high failure rate, so they don't really care as it happens

Being self-employed has been pretty good. I may take a job again just to ensure I stay on track for retirement by the end of 2029

It's tempting to just immerse myself in my interests, become a sloth, and start a youtube channel or something. But I'll probably hold off on that until I retire
