(computer-person backtracking to grasp at straws)
"Wow well I'm a mortal biological life form who is going to inevitably die someday, so I guess I might as well just commit suicide now!"
*smirks at "low IQ" non-liberal artists*

Those are just technical optimization problems unless you genuinely believe the nature of technology is suicide of the species (not just your perferred form of life).
That's a reasonable arguement (i.e., there are reasons for it), but its too tangled with a possible future where people in charge of AI actually support the continuation of the species and make the right decisions to keep humans alive.
Again this is different from the future you may prefer, but a K shaped future (where Computer Identifiers win) is consistent with the continuation of the species and the thesis that technology is not inherently suicidal.

It’s the default when you look around and find yourself in college.
You’re from either a rich family (where either it doesn’t matter what you study, or you actually qualify to be a Man of Letters) or an unsophisticated poor family (that doesn’t know enough to push you to STEM).

its really the only thing that COLLEGE should exist for
ofc i include math and physics and such in the Liberal Arts
basically, if what you are learning is for future labor and pay, it has no place in COLLEGE. learn all of that as an apprentice
and like maybe 10,000 american men should be admitted to college (and not, pace xo, necessarily will they be the high standardized test scorers)

Without liberal arts everything is just numbers: how much, how far, how Tall, what Net Worth, etc.
Do you really want to live in that world? I sure as hell don’t. I don’t even want to live in this one.
