This was the 90s, the Soviet Union had fallen, it seemed like America was the very culmination of human history, so naturally characters in these disparate settings keep pointing at American culture and values, like every now and then the ceremonial laws of Exodus and Leviticus, the gold, frankincense, and myrrh of the incense altar, for example, hint at Christ.
But yeah, Disney definitely fucked up with the pants. |
