go get codex (better than claude code b/c it creates images and you can talk to it)
pay the subscription for a month - ideally $200 if you really want to see shit, but $20 is fine to understand
tell it to make you a fuckign video game - e.g. i want a mario bros style platformer with x special unique things
tell it create the images you want
it will build you a fucking video game bros. it takes a lot back and forth but it's literally equivalent to telling a bunch of azn outsourced programming and graphics shops what you want, for $20/200 a mnonth
game development is going to entirely be you are the creative director + qa/playtester/bug fixer. everyone with an idea and focus will be able to develop their own game
now extrapolate that to all white collar work including one day CEOs
and remember, today is as bad as the models will ever be. this is going to be fucking nuts and people dont realize it yet

I agree with the statement in the thread title but it's funny that everyone who says this, including you, can never actually give any real examples of how it will significantly change people's lives
Like how does being able to crank out random slop video games change anyone's life in any significant way lol
Very "odd" that pro-AI propagandists, including the most famous and prominent people in the industry, can never give any actual examples of how *exactly* AI will change - let alone improve - people's lives

you changed "change" to "improve" at the end. note i didnt say improve b/c this is goign tobe good and bad
look at this chart bro

Wow that's cool you could also go outside and play catch with your kids. Or any other recreational activity with them. Nothing actually changed for you
Wait no it did change everyone lost their jobs and got poorer and have even less political leverage than they already had against the hostile elite
Whoops lmao

This is the shittiest AI thread on here in months
"AI is going to Change Everything because you can have it make useless slop video games for you"
"Well, it seems like a big deal, but for other reasons. Also, why can't you give any actual examples of how it will change our lives? And why can't anyone else who is pitching AI to the general public?"
"Exactly what I said."

also specificlaly on video games - that is just the most understandable layman example
think of the jobs that will be lost/changed in the industry
think of the *million new games (yes, 99.9% slop, 0.1% cool, the 0.1% will still more games that are being created total today)
think of the kids that will grow up just talking to their computers to build shit

Let me know when AI can fix my toilet or install a water heater.
I don’t need its help for “white collar” or “creative” work. That’s all bullshit anyway.

i dont htink it does 3d. but if you go download something like godot it will start working in godot directly for you. idk i'm not technical
it does fuck up a lot but again, this is the worst the ai is going to be
you are seeing these things already, its just not common. this has really only started happening over the last few-several months. think about video slop on youtuibe that is increasingly common, decent video models have been around <1 year

yes, that's what it does today
you are a great example of somehow who is not connecting the two things and the reason i created this thread. i'm not trying to prove something to you brother i am warning you
it went from "writing" to "creating 2006 level software prorgams if you are a complete nontechnical noob" in 1 year
the real technical folks are using this 24/7
what is going to happen in another year

I win.

i used it the other day to review a will from a firm
was about 80-90 pages and within 3 mins in found a bunch of issues from misspellings, logical errors like calling the husband the wife in some parts and other more nuanced law related issues
would have taken all day to read it all and really find half of it before looking over it all the next day and seeing other issues

i used to go over them myself after fixing everything
but its really not needed anymore
if you are paranoid you can make a new session and ask that session to review it, as well as put it in a different model and have it review

it does things automatically and interacts with your actual computer
so if you ask it to make a game, it plans everything, creates the entire game (probably spawning subagents to work on multiple parts at once), writes the rests, builds, runs the tests in a loop until everything works
cowork is just a more generic version not specifically oriented towards coding (and can also e.g. open your browser and have it do shit)

codex can look at all of the files itself at any moment as well as edit/create/reference/etc all on its own
using chatgpt is like AOL in 1995
using codex is like broadband
i guess can get the same thing (nude pic of pamela anderson) from both, but one is gonna have you watching every line render for 4 hours and the other will be instant and you can get a much higher qualty version as well as long videos of her sucking tommy off in their car on the highway

bro have you used the actual models, not the free tier shit
the actual models are scary smart
go try 5.5 pro (5.6 out soon) or fable from anthropic. they dont have case law etc but that's just becasue it's locked behind paywalls, that will come with time. but they have a lot more horsepower than you or me
