We know less about Poltava, but it won the war and made Sweden neutral forever. Poland and Lithuania at the Battle of Grunwald were decisive. They ended the war right there. Cortez in Tenochtitlan was also decisive. It was the end of the Aztecs. The Siege of Vienna was decisive in that the Ottomans never came back for round 2. These people do their own translations in their heads and would never want to read someone else's translation. This is more of a European thing though, since it's easier for them to learn Latin.
