Spiritually English? What the fuck does that mean?
You want to be a working class chav living in a depressed council estate or run down terrace in a dying mill town?
Have you ever been to England? It's filled with proles. Fat, ugly proles. Are country proles are all over the place.
Good god, Anglophiles always make me laugh.

This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.

I'll be frank.
I have a British passport and I've lived in England for part of my life.
To be whatever passes for British landed gentry these days is still credited. Or even the professional upper middle classes.
But they constitute, what, 2-3% of the British population.
Still, gorgeous country, that is, the bits that haven't been built over yet.

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant Land.
