Trump's support of Irish unification is somehow about Israel?

So from an international law perspective what they are really trying to do is emasculate the basis on which national borders were established after Britain withdrew from the Middle East. The unsettled status of Palestine, and even the artificial distinction between Palestine and Jordan, are the result of historical accident. All these countries have fucked up borders. The difficulty Israel faces is that no Arab country wants to be the first to say "these borders are no good, let's redraw them," because the whole region would erupt in flames overnight. So the Arab regimes have all tacitly agreed to live with fucked up borders.
Israel however would very much like it if the books were re-opened and we could question the wisdom of these borders. They'd LOVE to normalize the idea of creating new national borders in the 21st century. So they're always pushing these absurd ideas like "actually Crimea is part of Ukraine now"
