Hypo: $1M to not use soap, shampoo, deoderant, etc. for the next 3 years

Toothpaste and mouthwash are fine to use for their intended purposes.
Washing with water or a cloth is fine.
You can load and run the dishwasher and washing machine as those won't contribute to you getting clean. But, you can't wash dishes or your car by hand, as you'd be touching the soap/soapy water.

i think it's common for guys on the internet to pretend that soap, shampoo, lotions, etc are some new-fangled innovation forced by women on men in the 20th century. and prior to then, men only washed with water after a day of tough manual labor and lived to a ripe old age.
reality is that people have known about the benefits of washing with soap of thousands of years even if they didn't always have it available. and in times when soap and overall hygiene was worse, we died at young age from hygiene related diseases all the time |
