Investors might get really lucky and hold onto a piece that skyrockets. Or they might get greedy and buy at the top of the market and lose their lunch in a crash. what I left out about that first dive I went on after 5 years was that it was right after Hurricane Elsa. We dove out of Venice, FL, to specifically look for megalodon teeth because storms really churn up the water & make it easier to find them. However, it also means the conditions are pretty bad: zero visibility with very strong, unpredictable currents. Literally everyone was pulling sea urchin spines out. My hand was covered in blood because I grabbed what I thought was a rock when a big wave came through underwater, but it was actually a sea urchin. And then there was the coral... we were all skilled enough to largely avoid it, but everyone wound up getting nailed at least once. We all surfaced after about 15 minutes because the risk of damaging coral was too high.
that said, I'd give anything just to chill in some tropical reef at 30 feet for an afternoon. |
