Date: September 18th, 2026 12:18 AM Author: The Penis yeah email can definitely be compared to the complete deprecation of the human mind and human general intelligence. also will get cheaper but will never be as cheap as email. even when it gets to the point where you can run astra level models on todays local hardware it wont matter because something better will be normalized at that point. astra is a lot smarter than ape intelligence for sure, but that might be a low baseline. Date: September 18th, 2026 12:46 AM Author: .,.,.;;,;.,;:,:,,:,.,:,::,..;.,:,.:;.:.,;.:.,:.::, at some point you're going to see diminishing incremental abilities from new models for all practical purposes. maybe new models will be able to solve different things in math or map the human genome or develop novel technologies we haven't yet thought about but that'll be the cost of a bloomberg terminal and will be for specific enterprise or academic customers. the kinds of things that people will and do use ai for on a day-to-day basis will top out in ability within the foreseeable future and will basically be free to use. what people will pay for is having a personal account at antrhopic to host all their shit on the cloud akin to gmail or google drive.
99% of what bloomberg used to do and still does you can now get for free on the internet but businesses still pay tens of thousands of dollars for it like they did in the 80s for the last 1%. |
