Date: June 7th, 2026 9:46 AM Author: learning disabled church sandwich i am far from an expert but it looks like Texas has Capital Murder, Murder, Manslaughter (Voluntary and Involuntary), and Criminally Negligent Homicide.
as far as i can tell, Anthony's behavior is near the dividing line between Murder and Voluntary Manslaughter.
the internet seems to think that while Texas does not have a mitigation of imperfect self-defense, it does let the defendant argue "sudden passion" in the penalty phase. |
