Favorite foods from the trip?
Unexpected highlights?
Any huge Midwestern storms roll through? Nothing like one of those hitting in the late summer.

Favorite foods by stop:
-Des Moines: Breaded pork tenderloin sandwich at Kelly's Little Nipper. That was a 18000000 dive bar that was JAMMED when I rolled up at noon on a Monday, and the sandwich was excellent.
- Omaha: Whiskey Marinated ribeye at Drover steakhouse and several martinis.
- Kansas City: Burnt ends at Q39 or pork ribs at Arthur Bryants.
- Topeka: Only meal was a "spanish burger" at Bobo's Drive in. It was nothing special but was a nice old timey place.
- Wichita: Loose meat sandwich with homemade root beer at NuWay Crumbly Burgers. Sandwich was OK but homemade root beer in a frosty mug was 180000.
- Dodge City: Only meal was a ribeye at Central Station. It was a 6.5-7/10.
- Abilene: Only meal was chicken fried chicken at Joe Snuffy's. Again, prob a 6-6.5/10 but no other.
- Manhattan: Drove in from Abilene and went right to drinking, so didn't eat a proper meal here in two days. Maple Bar from Varsity Donuts was good.
Unexpected HIGHLIGHTS: Iowa State Capitol (Des Moines), John Wayne Museum (Winterset, Iowa), Durham Museum (Omaha), Truman Presidential Library (Independence, MO), TWA Museum (KC), Nelson-Atkins Museum (KC), Arabia Steamship Museum (KC), Berlin Wall: A World Divided exhibition at Union Station (KC), Combat Air Museum (Topeka), Pizza Hut Museum (Wichita), Museum of World Treasures (Wichita).
These were all stops I added while doing additional research during the trip or ones I thought would be mediocre but turned out to be really cool.
No storms of any sort, and it has been insanely hot.

Dick anyone down other than that Omaha story?
Have you visited the tier 1-2 national parks? If not, you should be going to multiple/year

National parks protip: shoulder/off season
E.g., Zion only has faggot shuttles during summer. I went in winter, weather was great like upper 50s-60s, could stay at the park's lodge and drive around, and literally zero AZNs
Spend a month or two in Alaska in the summer (more pilots than drivers, you could prob fly around urself).
