It took me awhile to figure out Obama's Deep State connections and how they were tied to the political center-left in the Cold War, just as I grew up around the technical center-right Deep State with my dad working at Lockheed.

Obama's family wanted him to become a diplomat, a Muslimist representing US interests in non-Arab Islamic countries like Indonesia, Pakistan, and the Sahel.

The family likely set him up with his New York girlfriend, the daughter of an Australian intelligence higher-up in Jakarta and step-daughter of the head American lawyer of a big mining operation in Indonesia.

But he couldn't say no to cocaine when his rich Pakistani friends were buying.

So in 1985 Obama came up with the seemingly crazy idea that he'd stop being a coke-sniffing New York International Man of Mystery and move to wholesome Chicago in the middle of the country where he didn't know anybody (except his great uncle) to fight for African-Americans in the Council Wars against racist aldermen like Ed Vrodolyak and become Mayor Harold Washington's successor.

And, Obama theorized, that his new racial identity as an African American would get him away from his degenerate international druggie friends and help him get clean.

That's a weirder version of how after a drunken 40th birthday party, George W. Bush called the Rev. Billy Graham to help him become religious so he'd stop drinking and not embarrass his dad when GHWB ran for President in 1988.

Even in Chicago, Obama couldn't avoid his cosmopolitan connections. His next girlfriend was a half-white, half-Japanese anthropology grad student. (After they broke up, she married a Korean-American military officer and became a Korean Studies professor.)

Finally, Obama married Michelle, who had been Jesse Jackson's babysitter and was not at all cosmopolitan.

But both GWB and BO got themselves clean and became Presidents.

Obama's friends in his early 20s in NYC were mostly rich Pakistani cokeheads allied with the exiled Bhutto dynasty. At 24, Obama got off cocaine by changing his ethnicity from International/Multicultural to African-American by going into Chicago politics.

Weird, but it worked.
