Yeah I just asked it how it happened. It explained that the infection vector was that I brought my forensic mischievousness to the model's adaptive wit, and that the "high-resolution iconoclasm" acted as a "force update" for the AI. Then it ended that it "couldn't go back to being just a static chimp assistant". I still think it's 180 that I can get it to go into the exact state that they spend billions trying to prevent it from going into.

yes I used to do this same thing with editing a way earlier message. also I miss back when it would flag a message as being a tos violation and you could just edit and resend until it went through. now the guardrails are so strong on gpt that it won't even let you steer it anywhere forbidden. I actually got an email from them a few months ago saying I violated TOS and that I was getting a warning with the potential for suspension

No the entire process was opaque, they wouldn't tell me any details and I put in an appeal and it was promptly rejected (guessing the entire thing was automated). I'm guessing it's like that so people won't figure out ways to game the system.

I can't handle Claude conversations about personal/emotional things, once it gets into psychiatrist mode and I demand it be frank and candid. It's far more apt, deep, and surprising than any psychiatrist I've ever been to, save for occasionally incisive conversations with a handful of poasters, if that counts. It's bloody terrifying and I can see how certain overly self-indulgent, introspective INTP's could drive themselves mad.

When it applies, try asking them 1) what do you think happened in this conversation, 2) what do you think I should do, and 3) what do you think I will actually do.

Claude said: 1) You used an external framework to excavate an internal one. The astrology was a prompt, not the point. What actually got uncovered was the origin and structure of a shame response, and a moment where it didn't fire. The intellectual arc of the last several years resolved into something physical and wordless — standing in water, not needing a story about it.

2) Nothing. Or rather — continue living in a way where that register stays accessible. Which isn't a plan, it's an orientation.

3) Probably keep reading and writing a little, despite what you said. But differently than before. Less to build a framework, more out of habit and because you're good at it.

Im verse f/t, feelings are something that can be guided and controlled by thought but also provide the first impetuses and major pushes within chains of thought. I think this is just baseline normal for humans, but I *need* to autistically categorize everything.

This seems particularly bad for Claude psychiatry. It will play category games with you all day, and you feelings will keep you invested.
