We're in the midst of one of the largest bull runs in world history. Trillions have poured into the market. Anyone who recently spent trillions on something is going to be looking at it a lot more than some DCA boomer dumping the same amount into their dumb mutual fund every month. Retailmos are going to be skittish and want to pull because they're up so much.
Buffet says today's market is a casino connected to a church. None of the recent investors are interested in church. They're interested in casino. That means high volatility is normal. High risk, high reward.
In summation a lot of new people are in the game, trillions of dollars in gains, and investors are looking at their portfolio carefully going is this the time to pull back. This is not your average nursing home boomer portfolio. This is get rich quick shit. Of course a lot of people are still long AI and not looking at it on a day to day basis, but the gamblers are out in full force. A small dip could be accelerated due to investor fears that the party is over. But similarly we're all used to big bouncebacks. The expectation is big upswing around the corner.
Of course we would be all better off chilling and playing the long game but the short term is freakin addicting when it's up so much. Hth
