That is not how irl works. You can already see how Risk-Averse everything is now. There is no creative destruction. VC would see Ubisoft fail and be less inclined to invest in Firms.

Valve - No Games
Sony - very few games, all Liberal af
MSFT - No Games
Live Service - Ruined, Afraid, Cancelled
also the schlockiest games make the most money. Mobile. Gacha (including RE9). You name it. Death Stranding 2 makes No Money and critics don't even like it. The "Make a Good Game" strategy doesn't work anymore.
if the entire industry Failed like in the North American Gaming Crash of 1983 then you'd have creative destruction. A few Firms failing while the industry is still growing is going to make everything more risk-averse. You'll get Fewer Games, and more Games that are The Same.
