This is fundamentally untrue. For one, more than half the population left the country entirely. That includes anyone with the money to do so. Pretty much all of those Ukrainian politicians you see? Their kids are abroad.
The only reason it "works" is that the people still there are stuck. It put "works" in quotes because Ukraine has a huge manpower shortage. Russia also hasn't used conscripts in the war in significant numbers.
Bringing this back to the US - the country is wealthier which means that pretty much everyone that could would also leave and that is a larger segment of the population. |

An ordinary citizen can't defend against immigration because they don't have the power to depoet people and they're less likely to actually shoot some desperate unarmed beaner family trying to come pick strawberries. However they would be willing to shoot at a group of armed people coming to do their family and their neighbors active harm.
Whether the "invasion" of illegals is ultimately just as destructive doesn't change that. It's like how vigilante groups aren't forming to police ghettos but people WILL shoot a dindu who tries to invade their home. |
