i was at an ID firm for 8-9 months just after i got barred and they took the occasional shitlaw plaintiff case. i was on a case with some black dood and he kept telling me "shoot man, you don't know how it is, you got rich parents and you done went to law school makin all dis money." meanwhile, i couldn't find a real job and was making $25 per BILLED hour as an independent contractor. he was making more than i was. goddamn it, i can't believe i made it out of that mess.
but anyway, now that i'm financially set, i feel like shitlaw might be a good time. |

((zurich is stained)) based on my limited experience anyway. like the black dood who told me i was a rich white boy. oh, i also interviewed at a place called ashcraft & gerel (they advertise on daytime tv in the DMV, or at least they used to). i saw a bunch of people in the waiting room that looked like really interesting characters. the firm called me a couple days after the interview and said they liked me but that i was "too cerebral" for the job. in retrospect, that's pretty funny but at the time i was crushed because i'd been looking for a job for months with no luck.
