He wants to go out solving these big historical hotspots (Cuba too). It's not that the underlying policy goals of the US changed, Trump just takes the more aggressive approach. Its understood Iran is bad, past presidents have attacked them in some capacity. Trump went all in.
The underlying policy or geopolitical goals are more durable and intricate. |
