I don't actually think I'd get accepted at PS but I really am planning to submit to them and see if I at least get referee feedback that I can use to improve my work before applying to less selective ones. What I'm working on is the type of thing they'd publish so I really want to just try. Every time I ask a chatbot what journals to submit it to and tell it to BE REALISTIC it always says it's worth trying PS as a reach.

Re: conferences, definitely do this. Depending on the set up you may not get any questions, and even if you do you can just autistically restate your paper without going too far afield if youre stumped. A lot of questions are bad anyway. Also no one will care and you have very little to lose. Youre even safer if its a panel.

Well I think I could field questions about the substance very well, but I'm afraid of like if someone asks, "how does this compare to [theory/philosopher I've never heard of]?" and I have to say idk what that is and be exposed as a FRAUD if it's something everyone else knows.
