Entertainment Media means all books, short stories, movies, tv shows, sports broadcasts, video games, and music. It also means podcasts, radio programs, magazines, newspapers, and similar items when the primary intended use is entertainment--e.g., checking the weather would be OK; a sports column would not be OK.

You cannot watch (etc.) any re-releases, re-cuts, director's cuts, covers, etc. from outside your allowed time period, unless the new version is wholly distinct and different from the original.

For whichever restriction you choose, forbidden media will appear blank/null/nonexistant to you. E.g., if you choose 1, and and walk into a movie theater showing a movie released in 2026, you would see a blank screen.

It would be too bad missing out on sports broadcasts and new movies and games with my kids.

Despite that, I'm picking 1 because there are more pre-2016 classics than any of us could consume and appreciate in any one lifetime. And, by and large, the pre-2016 media is better than the post-2016 media. So, I'd rather spend my life enjoying that.

music is a killer though. I don't listen to a ton of music but it would be much worse to never listen to pre-2016 music than be able to not watch a movie I've already seen. practically speaking this would mean I'm just not allowed to listen to music again

The stadium would appear full.

You would see the video board, except when they play movie clips or broadcasts from other games outside your allowed time period (e.g., you're at a Yankees game during the NBA finals, and they switch to a clip from the Knicks game--that would be blank for you).

You would not hear walk up songs or music between quarters, etc., from outside your allowed time period.
