How much do general counsels at companies w/ $1b revenue make?

350 - 500 base 50 - 100% target bonus 75 - 200% (relative to base) annual equity
For most companies in this range, I would expect ~400 base, 100% target bonus, and 400 - 600k annual equity value, with overall comp being around 1.2 million (if it's not a distressed situation) |

Date: June 9th, 2026 2:33 PM Author: lascivious blathering gunner I was GC at a shitty PE portco with substantially lower revenue. It was supposed to be successful and filled with executive counterparts who are brilliant and experienced. Total comp was supposed to be around 800k/yr
It turned out to be deeply distressed and run by idiots (including the PE directors). I never even pulled 400k in annual comp, which was less than an AGC at a good company |
