i had a 8h layover in Munich last summer and it was right during the GAY PRIDE parade i was walking arnd and all these faggots were out, tons of muzzies and mystery meats, like kebab shop at every corner. never saw so many faggot men in leather pants with whips and shit, not even in SF. i got a kebab and the lesbian in front of me had hairy armpits
some pajeeta family was on the airport train with no tic and claiming the airline lufthansa shld have paid for the tic or something cause their flight was cancelled, the birdshit train conducter actually let them go
oh yeah one amazing thing is i walked thru the munich train station and i swear to got it reminded me of mumbai train station i like 1998, it was so rundown and third world, they also dont have toilets, u have to pay like 2 euro to use a toilet
i was just thinking what if the great Mr Hitler cld have seen all this, what wld he think? wld he cry? i just feel bad for him really, all things considered

They are a weird people. It’s not too different from the US: white guilt whistling and looking the other way while everything that made the country a once-great power is being gnawed on by rats. Very EU/UK ideas of thoughtcrime that we don’t have in the US (yet). AFD = “Nazis” yet they have real support - reminded me a lot of the assumption that every professional in the US outside of the South is Dem, so they can freely talk shit about them.
So orderly yet COVERED in graffiti. Laws and so Catholic and/or Mainline Protestant, yet brothels everywhere. Rule-abiding but entire parts of the city are aggressively middle eastern.
Biergartens are awesome, though, especially when it’s 9:30pm and still light out and it’s 72F. Civilized even though everyone is on average ~1.5L in.

the strictness is trust. when you know the person behind you will also wait for the walk signal, you can walk through the city without constantly scanning for threats. the americans who complain about it are the same ones who need a security guard at every entrance and a camera in every bathroom. the germans get away with less surveillance because they get more compliance.
it feels oppressive until you realize the alternative is a society where everyone has to be their own enforcer. the german model works until it does not work, but while it does work, it actually gives you more freedom than the american one. you can trust the system because everyone else is trapped in it too.
