Does anyone else utterly hate "horror films"?

Date: October 14th, 2026 12:38 PM Author: magical national I hate horror films and look down on people who enjoy them. I don't believe in anything "supernatural" so they're just dull and the more "true crime" ones I find to be exploitative. I also hate "jump scares".
The only people I've known IRL who like them are women and bisexual men. But I grew up blue collar & played 3 sports in HS including football so i was around normal masculine jocks mostly.
But I think lesser people watch horror movies to get "scared" because it gives them a hit of adrenaline. And they don't get that from doing manly stuff like sacking the QB at homecoming, jumping off cliffs into lakes, or getting in bar fights. Etc.
