And likely a ratio of each partner’s ratio. Ie the metrics of < 10 times a year or 6+ months with no sex conflate wildly different risk levels using a random cut off. But eg a dude who fucks his wife every 6 weeks but then jizzes 100 times by himself between each fuck is demonstrating a much higher drive and risk of unmet needs v a guy who jerks off in the shower a few times in between once every 6 weeks wife-fuckings. It’s also going to correlate with various other risk factors ie he has to stay up late or otherwise find time alone to nut 2+ times a day v once every two weeks. I’d expect the same logic to hold up for women, except the risk thresholds would be an order of magnitude lower, so eg if 20 solo sessions between sex events was identified as the threshold over which a husband is more likely to cheat and otherwise reflect negative outcomes related to a dead bedroom, for a wife that’s more like 2 solo sessions.
Does that correspond to a drop in your ratio of solos to wife fucks? And if so would you say your degree of dissatisfaction with your sex life has also reduced?
You seem to have missed the point. It’s indeed possible for two very low libido people to not be dissatisfied by a dead bedroom rate of sexual activity, and it’s also possible for hyper-compulsives like Gibberish to be dissatisfied despite extremely high rates of sexual activity with his partner. The point of the solo/together ratios is that it’s a way to get at unmet need levels and would point more directly to eg mismatched libidos. And it also provides a heuristic with which to more readily guilt trip a frigid wife—I was clearly inspired by Gottman and his “golden ratio” schtick, which has been a useful tool for me to more frequently and successfully call out my wife when she’s being an annoying twat.

I've been in severe marital distress and still fucking daily for almost a year. It's calmed down now but last year was terrible. Never once did it interrupt the sex routine.

Usually I think she's insecure in the relationship over some made up fear I'm fucking strange. But it's like an obsession she will think about constantly. Some intern was flirty like 15 years ago and my wife read the messages. I swear to God I never touched her, but I've dealt with the fallout like we fucked ever since. Also, not sure I mentioned it, but she's a woman.
