That was the void that Xbox swooped in to fill. The contemporary flock of retards that pledge fealty to Sony are this exact same archetype of Loser - they want big photorealistic "experiences" that realistically can only run at acceptable performance metrics on PC gaming hardware. They aren't asking for PaRappa the Rapper.
This is the landscape of Console Gaming now. A bunch of morons trying to pretend that consoles still exist outside of Nintendo or are meaningfully different than some homebuilt PC that a Nerd threw together from secondhand components. The market responded to its customer base. The customer is always Wrong, this is why the reverse of that maxim is so well-known. People want to be lied to. |

The app was slow on everything else. People like you try to make everything about hardware and Games when it's always been anything but the case.
10 years ago people were saying that Nintendo Should Go Third Party. It's all just recency bias. Nintendo is thriving on pent-up demand because they fucked up for 20 straight years before the Switch. People like you also don't understand how well their handhelds were doing even while their Consoles languished. Switch is just a continuation of their handhelds by and large. You talk about winning the gen or allude to it. You talk about Consoles. It's a handheld. It's the successor to 3DS. Stop getting so excited ffs. If they released the Same Games but lost the gen ruinously you'd be shitting on them now. Console Wars have major consequences and everyone is in denial about it. DS and 3DS sold well. DS especially. We didn't notice/care.
You say a $1200 or $2000k PC is better than a $500 PS5. I don't care about playing the Same Games with better specs. To each his own. You're still an annoying Joke regardless because you keep moving the goalpoasts. First you were all-in on Xbox. Then Switch started Winning in your mind (just like how DS outsold PS3 and Xbox 360; Same Thing). But also PC. You can't decide on a platform. It's not your fault. You had like 15 Lost Years and your brain is stuck in some sort of adolescent existential crisis forever while your Skull expands.
