Foreign Earned Income Exclusion when secret digital nomad
I currently work a $150k W2 job in the US and use a VPN tunnel to digital nomad. working from out of the US is against company terms but again I have had no issues due to my hardware tunnel. Now here comes the annoying part. My job location for my company is officially the US. I have proof and a lease proving I am in a different country to meet FEIE. Would the IRS credit me back the withheld taxes? I know I need to talk to an accountant, and please dont lecture me on ethics and company policy. I just want to hear what yall have to say about this. |
