I decided this was the best way to get AV1 decoding on something connected to a TV. This will allow me to game without having to sit at a computer. I can just stream it over LAN using Steam. There's no way I'm sitting at my desk and playing games, nor am I about to haul a big as PC out to my living room, nor do I want a console. I'm going to let my PC with the graphics card and the CPU do the gaming and stream it over lan to this mini-ITX PC.
First of all, these things require a low profile cooler. I thought I was going to cram a regular ass tower cooler in there but forget it. Maybe you could do a AIO with a 120mm fan, but I don't want water anywhere near this thing.
Also fuck putting an external graphics card in there. In theory I could do it but it seems really stupid to even try.
I ordered this case, which was the cheapest I could find that had a USB-C port on front. The handle is also nice, and it's removable.

I could have gotten a bigger case, but the whole point of this is to be small and easy to move out of the way or put in another room. It sucks to put everything together though. I mean it really, really sucks

just buy an nvidia shield pro.
but if you want to be stubborn and build, and not going to use a discreet gpu, just use a nuc.
