yeah memory motel and hand of fate are both top-tier stones songs. and they were like 34-35 at the time. black and blue came out around the time the sex pistols started up, and of course they were calling the stones and pistols old people, etc.

john lydon came out recently and said that exile on main street is a great album.

grunge sort of did the same in the early 1990s

since then nothing. The genre seems content to just be a footnote moving forward, which is OK I guess.
