No, at least not according to the company's own words. OpenAI declares an existence proof for quantum field theories with gauge fields and fermions in four dimensions, including quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and a unified completion of the Standard Model, and presents pure Yang-Mills theory as a subproblem that is "part" of the Clay Mathematics Institute millennium problem.

The choice of words matters. Pure Yang-Mills theory describes only how gluons (the particles that carry the strong force) interact with each other, without quarks. The millennium problem, in its official formulation, also asks for a second requirement, the so-called mass gap, which OpenAI's page does not claim. The text stops at existence and says the work leans on Balaban's approach to constructive field theory.

pedantic false equivalence. yang mills theory isn't the same as "the Yang–Mills existence and mass gap Millennium Prize problem". claude self-pwns in it's second paragraph there by admitting it. entire response only makes sense if I claimed they solved the millennium problem.
